Timber Trust (TTT) - Group Health Insurance
TTT is
a non-profit subsidiary of AFA offering a major health insurance
plan to regular Association members. The plan provides life insurance,
accidental death and dismemberment,
medical, dental and vision coverage's for members, their employees
and dependents. Eligibility, rate and benefit requirements are
available from the AFA office.
Alaska
Loggers Retirement Plan - Pension Plan
Alaska
Forest Association offers a comprehensive retirement plan to its
regular member and their employees. To qualify for this plan,
an employer must include all of his employees. The plan benefits
are comparable to other forest industry plans and are cost competitive
with other retirement plans. Specific eligibility, rate and benefit
requirements are available from the AFA office.

Limited
Participation Regular Members of AFA are businesses or individuals
whose principal activity is in the forest products industry and
which employ no more than seven full time employees at any time
during the year.
As a Limited
Participation Regular Member your company is eligible for:

Able to serve on any committee(s)
·
Participation in AFA meetings and Board of Directors meetings
o
meet suppliers, managers, and other industry leaders
o
be active on AFA Board and/or committee(s)
o
sponsor and participate in social events

Members in this category are not eligible to participate in Tongass
Timber Trust or in the Alaska Loggers Retirement Plan or Trust.
Members maintain the option to upgrade to full participation Regular
membership at any time (will be required if you exceed the seven
employee limit, regardless of whether or not you want to participate
in either Trust).

members of the Alaska Forest Association play an important role
in protecting and fostering the quality of life Alaskans have
come to enjoy. By getting involved as an individual member, you
can help us get people back into the environmental equation. As
part of the AFA team, you can know that you've done your part
to help us influence public policy and keep Alaskans working in
the woods.
