General Member Benefits

Regular Members of the AFA are businesses or individuals whose principal activity is in the forest products industry or who have substantial ownership in forest lands.

As a Regular Member your company is eligible for:

  • Full voting rights
  • Able to serve on any committee(s)
  • Participation in AFA meetings and Board of Directors meetings
    • meet suppliers, managers, and other industry leaders
    • be active on AFA Board and/or committee(s)
    • sponsor and participate in social events
  • Listed in the annual AFA Membership Roster with:
    • company description
    • key contact(s)
    • email and internet sites
    • address, phone & fax
  • Listed on AFA’s web site
    • company may be linked on link page and/or member pages
    • representatives & emails can be linked

  • Reduced fees for participation in the Alaska Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) program

Tongass Timber Trust (TTT)
 – Group Health Insurance

TTT is a non-profit subsidiary of AFA offering a major health insurance plan to regular Association members. The plan provides life insurance, accidental death and dismemberment, medical, dental and vision coverage’s for members, their employees and dependents. Eligibility, rate and benefit requirements are available from the AFA office.

Associate Member Benefits

As an Associate Member company you are offered the opportunity to introduce you and your representatives to AFA Regular Members in a way that promotes goodwill and a bond that business relationships need in today’s marketplace.Your membership – your active participation and your dues – will help promote the success of forest product companies in Alaska.

As an Associate Member, your company is:
